10.15.2014 :: You’re invited to “A Crucial Catch Day – Your Day to Fight Breast Cancer”!



The American Cancer Society awarded EXCELth a $10,000 grant to host” A Crucial Catch Day”, breast health awareness event in New Orleans. EXCELth will host "A Crucial Catch Day" on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10 am to 2 pm.

The events are free and open to the public. No appointments are necessary. Activities include: FREE Clinical Breast Exams, Information and Referrals for mammograms, Health and Wellness Sessions, Physical Activity Stations,(Zumba, Line Dancing, etc); Entertainment, Fun, Door Prizes and Refreshments. Special Activities for children include games, football toss, snowballs, etc. Tote bags filled with goodies for the first 50 ladies at each location.

10.15.2014 :: NCQA Highest Recognition for two EXCELth Family Health Centers

EXCELth, Incorporated is proud to announce that the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) has recognized two of the EXCELth Family Health Centers for their provision of quality health care. The EXCELth Family Health Centers in Algiers and in Gentilly have achieved Level 3 PPC-PCMH, the highest medical home certification.

10.21.2014 :: Get Ready for the next Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Period

Let EXCELth help you get ready for the next Health Insurance Marketplace Open Enrollment Period? Open Enrollment is the time when you can apply for a new Marketplace plan, keep your current plan, or pick a new one. Contact an Outreach/Enrollment Team Member at one of the EXCELth Family Health Centers listed below.

Four Key Dates You Should Know:

·         November 15, 2014. Open Enrollment begins. Apply for, keep, or change your coverage.

·         December 15, 2014. Enroll by the 15th if you want new coverage that begins on January 1, 2015. If your plan is changing or you want to change plans, enroll by the 15th to avoid a lapse in coverage.

·         December 31, 2014. Coverage ends for 2014 plans. Coverage for 2015 plans can start as soon as January 1st.

·         February 15, 2015. This is the last day you can apply for 2015 coverage before the end of Open Enrollment.
